International Coastal Cleanup 2006

Want to be one of us? Want experience to heal the longest sea beach of the world? Then be here now. This is an effort of some younger soul of Bangladesh to take an initiative to create public awareness. Try experiencing the longest sea beach of the world (92 km) in a different way. One day at beach can make us proud to do something good for the country. To be one of us just be here.

We are registering now for the volunteer of International Coastal Cleanup Bangladesh 2007. International Coastal Cleanup event is internationally run by Ocean Conservancy USA , the oldest and largest voluntary activity in the world. In Bangladesh the country part is run under the supervision of Kewkradong Bangladesh .

Why in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is the biggest delta on earth and is has thousands of canals and rivers. not only that Bangladesh is having longest unbroken sea beach in the world it has millions of population which is a big threat to nature as they are not careing for the nature.

So Bangladesh can be the best spot for ICC as it has opportunities and worst condition from the environmental perspective. as it has longest sea shore area adjacent of the shore is environmentally threatened by the large number of population. holiday tourists, recreational beachgoers who leave behind their picnic garbage and cigarette butts on the shore which makes the shore dangerous for the local inhabitants and wild life.

ICC is must in Bangladesh because it can bring back healthy environment. And also it can create public attention regarding coastal environment that will help a lot to continue a sustainable oceanic environment.
